1904 Cadets offers SMS/text messaging to parents, guardians, participants, volunteers, and supporters who opt in. By providing your mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from us — including program registration confirmations, event and training reminders, safety and schedule updates, and, where you have separately opted in, promotional or fundraising messages.

Opting out of SMS messaging will not affect your ability to receive other program-related communications through other channels.

4. Data Sharing Policy
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or message delivery, is permitted solely to provide the messaging service. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

To make a request, please contact us at the address listed below. We respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
1904 Cadets is an educational nonprofit that serves students from elementary school through post-secondary, including children under 13, through our Lil Heroes, Fire Up Your Future, and Fire & EMS Cadets programs. Because our programs are delivered in coordination with schools and require parent/guardian registration, any personal information relating to a minor is collected with the knowledge and consent of a parent, guardian, or partner school — not directly solicited from the child. SMS/text communications are directed to parents, guardians, or emergency contacts on file, not to minors under 13. Parents or guardians may review, correct, or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting us using the details below.
9. Security and Data Retention
We implement industry-standard protections and retain data only as long as necessary for business or legal obligations.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Updates will be posted with the new effective date.
